Looks like Nicole Richie’s 40th year is off to a blazing start.
On Wednesday, the “The Simple Life” actress, fashion designer, and socialite shared a video of herself blowing out four candles on her cake while wearing a black off-shoulder top.
As she leaned to blow out the candles, her hair got in the way and immediately went up in flames.
The video showed her screaming and leaning on her left side as the fire almost rose to her right cheek.
Nicole and her friends tried to put it out by shaking it off her using their hands.
“Well, so far 40 is [fire],” she wrote on Instagram, adding a fire emoji.
The comment section, meanwhile, was filled with hilarious reactions from her friends and fellow celebrities.
“OH MY F*CKING GOD!!!!!!!!!!! That’s hot,” said her sister Sofia, while her brother-in-law Benji Madden commented, “stay lit.”
Nicole rose to fame when she starred in the 2003 reality series “The Simple Life” with her childhood friend Paris Hilton.
