Billie Eilish has dropped the trailer for her upcoming concert film titled “Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to LA.”
In the trailer released on Wednesday, the multi-Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter takes her viewers on a haunting journey through Los Angeles, including the glam and the shadows that follow it.
Described as “a concert film but also a story at the same time,” Billie’s new project features the singer performing her new album “Happier Than Ever” in collaboration with artists Finneas, Gustavo Dudamel, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
The film also takes an innovative turn by featuring Billie in animated form as she travels around an animated version of Los Angeles.
“I’ve never done anything like this,” Billie said. “This is a dream come true.”
Directed by Robert Rodriguez and Oscar awardee Patrick Osborne, “Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to LA” is set to premiere on September 3 on Disney+.
“Happier Than Ever,” Billie’s second studio album, was released in July. Her breakout album “When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” was released in 2019.
At 19, Billie won “Record of the Year” at the 2021 Grammys for the second straight year. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
