Big Bird just took to Twitter to tell everyone he got the COVID-19 vaccine.
In a now viral tweet, the beloved Sesame Street character said: “I got the COVID-19 vaccine today!”
He added, “My wing is feeling a little sore, but it’ll give my body an extra protective boost that keeps me and others healthy.”

Big Bird also shared that CNN anchor Erica Hill even told him he’d “been getting vaccines since I was a little bird,” and that he “had no idea!”
The Muppet’s official Twitter account made the statement on Nov. 6, a few days after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended the broad use of kid-size vaccine doses of the vaccine made by Pfizer and BioNTech.
