We officially have a new Avenger!
Marvel included Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi in a video tribute for its legendary heroes: Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and Thor (Chris Hemsworth).
“Marvel’s newest Avenger is here,” the text on screen read.
Simu Liu then could be heard saying, “I’m ready.”
His character Shang-Chi appeared at the end, wielding his power to make a fireball in his hands.
“Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings” just hit theaters, marking the beginning of another era for Marvel and its heroes after Phase 3 concluded with “Avengers: Endgame” (2019).
The film follows Shang-Chi, who grows into his powers and skills, and is drawn back to the very organization that he had tried to run from — the Ten Rings. —JCB, GMA News
