After tying the knot last December, Bettina Carlos and her non-showbiz husband Mikki Eduardo are on to their next adventure as they build their dream home in La Union!
On Instagram, Tuesday, Bettina shared photos of herself with Mikki as they oversaw the construction of their home on an empty lot on the island.
Bettina shared that it was in August 2020 when Mikki first brought her to a piece of land he had bought. They weren’t engaged yet, but Mikki told her that it was where they were going to build their future.
“The first time we visited LU together you brought me here right away and told me that on this spot is where we will build our future,” Bettina said.
At first, the plan was to simply build villas in La Union they can earn from, but they recalibrated their plans and instead are now building a house.
“You kept saying OURS. Our land. Our villas. I couldn’t believe I had a part in something I never worked for to have,” she said. “Until we got married, I would still pertain to it as yours or your family’s villas.”
She added, “I guess surprise blessings like this take time to sink in ano. I never thought I’d ever live in a house — a (near the) beach house even or move out of our condo ever. Hello, I didn’t even think I’d marry! But today, this is already what’s being built on that once empty lot.”
